Yankees fans banned from MLB stadiums indefinitely for interfering with Mookie Betts in World Series.

New York Yankees fans Austin Capobianco and John P. Hansen have been banned from all MLB stadiums indefinitely after interfering with Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts during Game 4 of the World Series. The incident occurred in the bottom of the first inning, when Torres hit a pop fly down the right field line that headed toward the stands. Betts leaped for the ball and made the catch, but a fan in the front row tried to rip his glove off and take the ball out, while another fan held his wrists as the ball eventually came out.

Fans were initially allowed to return to the stadium the following night, but the team reversed course and donated their tickets to a child with cancer and his family. After the game, Betts spoke about the ordeal, saying it was “wild” and that he had never experienced anything like it. He added that he understood the fan’s actions, but it was still unacceptable.

Capobianco defended his actions, saying it was to help the Yankees and that they were just trying to get the ball in their area. However, the MLB has taken action and banned the two fans from all stadiums indefinitely.
