WWE Star JD McDonagh Reveals Injuries Sustained in “Monday Night Raw” Tag-Team Match
WWE star JD McDonagh has announced that he will be out for a few months recovering from injuries sustained in a tag-team match on “Monday Night Raw”. The incident occurred while teaming with Dominik Mysterio to take on the War Raiders, Erick and Ivar, for the WWE World Tag Team Championship.
During the match, McDonagh launched himself off the middle rope and attempted a moonsault, but hit the back of his head on the announcer’s table. As a result, he suffered a few other injuries, including several broken ribs and a punctured lung.
McDonagh took to social media to address the situation, saying, “First off, thanks to everyone for the messages and the concern. I’m good. I’ve got a couple of broken ribs and a punctured lung, so I’m going to be out for a couple of months. All things considered, it could have been a lot worse, so I’m grateful for that. See ya in a bit.”
The WWE star’s injuries come as a result of his new tag-team venture with Dominik Mysterio, and his absence is expected to be long-term. Prior to joining the main roster, McDonagh performed in WWE NXT UK and WWE NXT, where he held the NXT Cruiserweight Championship. He has also competed in various other promotions, including British Championship Wrestling, Fight Factory Pro Wrestling, and Progress Wrestling.
