WWE Star Feels in Danger from Romantic Advances on Fan Interactions

WWE superstar Asuka reveals feeling in danger due to “romantic” fan interactions, contacts police

WWE star Asuka has expressed her growing concern for her safety, attributing it to fan interactions that have crossed boundaries. In recent posts on X, Asuka, whose real name is Kanako Urai, revealed she has consulted with the police due to her uneasy feelings.

According to Asuka, she feels in danger anytime fans approach her, whether it’s at an airport or in the city. She stated she will feel “the possibility that something might happen” and be unable to respond. The professional wrestler, known for her title wins in various WWE championships, emphasized her desire for fans to stop having romantic feelings for her.

Asuka did not specifically mention a recent incident, but her posts sent a clear message: she values her privacy and wants fans to respect her personal boundaries. Her concerns come after a similar issue involving fellow WWE star Sonya Deville. In 2020, a fan named Phillip Thomas was convicted of attempting to kidnap Deville and subsequently received a 15-year prison sentence.

With an illustrious career spanning from 2015, Asuka has achieved great success, earning the titles of NXT women’s champion, Royal Rumble, and Money in the Bank winner. Currently rehabilitating from knee surgery, which she underwent in May 2024, Asuka remains committed to her professional wrestling career and is calling attention to the growing concern for celebrity safety.
