WWE Star Asuka Feels in Danger After Fan Interactions Go Too Far
WWE superstar Asuka, a four-time world champion, has expressed her concerns about fan interactions that have made her feel in danger. The Japanese professional wrestler, whose real name is Kanako Urai, shared her feelings about recent interactions that had romantic advances involved.
Asuka took to her X account to express her concerns, stating that she has consulted the police and feels like she’s in danger. She cited instances where fans have approached her at the airport or in the city, making her feel scared and unable to respond.
The WWE star emphasized that she wishes fans would stop having romantic feelings for her, describing it as “100% pointless.” She emphasized that there is no possibility for others to interfere in her private life.
This is not the first time a WWE star has faced issues with obsessed fans. In a separate incident, Sonya Deville had an obsessed fan drive from South Carolina to Tampa Bay, Florida, with the intent of abducting her. The fan was arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping, aggravated stalking, and armed burglary.
Asuka, 43, has not been wrestling recently due to a knee injury that required surgery. With a notable career spanning over a decade, she has won numerous titles, including the NXT women’s championship, the Royal Rumble, and Money in the Bank.
