Vikings Make Quick Work of Bears, Win 30-12, Extend Winning Streak to Seven Games
The Minnesota Vikings made quick work of the Chicago Bears on Monday night, emerging victorious with a 30-12 win and extending their winning streak to seven games. The victory propels the team into a tie for first place in the division.
The Vikings’ defense was instrumental in the win, sacking Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams twice and allowing just one third-down conversion in 11 drives. The unit’s strong performance was led by Justin Jefferson, who caught seven passes for 73 yards and a touchdown, his eighth of the season.
The Bears’ offense struggled to get going, with Williams completing just 18 of 31 passes for 191 yards. They did manage to add a late touchdown pass to Keenan Allen, but it was too little, too late.
The win marks the Vikings’ second 12-win season in the last three years and moves them to 12-2 on the season. The team will look to continue their dominance in the coming weeks.
In a touching moment, the game /Observers at the game paid tribute to former Viking wide receiver Randy Moss, who recently revealed a cancer diagnosis. Moss was a fan favorite during his time with the team and was the subject of many tributes throughout the game.
