A woman has been indicted on 13 counts, including vehicular manslaughter, for her role in a car crash that killed Minnesota Vikings rookie Khyree Jackson in July. Jackson, 21, was a passenger in a car driven by 23-year-old Isaiah Hazel, another passenger who was also killed in the crash. A third passenger, 23-year-old Anthony Lytton Jr., was transported to a hospital and later pronounced dead. The crash occurred in the early hours of July 6 in Prince George’s County, Maryland, just weeks before training camp was set to begin for the 2024 NFL season.

Khyree Jackson, a defensive back from Oregon, was drafted in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft and never got a chance to take a snap for the Vikings. Jackson was known for his contagious energy and engaging personality, and was described by head coach Kevin O’Connell as “a tremendous professional football player” and “a best person they could be for his family and those around him.”

The driver, Cori Clingman, was allegedly driving at a high rate of speed when she crashed into another car carrying the three men, killing them instantly. Clingman faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted of vehicular manslaughter.
