Minnesota Vikings Hold On for Ninth Straight Win, 27-25 Over Green Bay Packers
The Minnesota Vikings secured their ninth consecutive victory on Sunday, defeating the Green Bay Packers 27-25. The win sets up a crucial matchup next week against the Detroit Lions, with a victory securing the NFC North title and the number one seed in the playoffs, along with homefield advantage in the postseason.
Quarterback Sam Darnold led the Vikings to victory, throwing three touchdown passes to three different wide receivers: Jalen Nailor, Jordan Addison, and Cam Akers. Darnold completed 33 of 43 passes for 377 yards, with one interception and one sack.
Running back Aaron Jones led the Vikings with 47 yards on the ground, while wide receiver Justin Jefferson had eight catches for 92 yards, averaging 11.5 yards per catch. Nailor added five catches for 81 yards.
The Packers, led by quarterback Jordan Love, fought hard to stay in the game, with Love throwing a touchdown pass to Malik Heth and rushing for a score. However, the Vikings’ offense proved too much to stop in the final moments, securing the win.
The Vikings will look to clinch the NFC North title and the number one seed in the playoffs next week against the Lions, who they lost to earlier in the season 31-29.
