In a statement, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense claimed that the Armenian armed forces used anti-aircraft systems to bring down the jet, citing “numerous facts” and “intelligence data” as evidence.
But Armenia has vehemently denied the allegations, insisting that they were not involved in the downing of the Azerbaijani jet. In fact, Armenia claims that Azerbaijan deliberately shot down their own plane as a “false flag” operation to discredit Armenian forces.
