VA Official Engaged in Sex with 32 Colleagues

Several top Veterans Affairs officials in Tennessee have resigned as an internal investigation and a congressional probe into alleged sexual misconduct intensifies. Congressional investigators have discovered that one employee, identified as a biomedical employee, had sex relationships with dozens of women who work at the Mountain Home VA medical center in Tennessee. In fact, he had sex with at least 32 women who worked there, and some of them also bragged about their exploits on an online forum.

Moreover, sources familiar with the congressional investigation have uncovered that at least 12 officials working at the facility attended an orgy, although it is unclear whether it took place on VA property or off-site. At least two employees have admitted having sex on the grounds of the VA hospital.

A senior congressional aide described the culture that allowed this to happen as “absolutely wild” and said it starts at the top. The scandal threatens to shake the final days of the Biden administration and could engulf senior officials like VA Secretary Denis McDonough.

As a result, at least one other official has resigned, including the director of the Mountain Home facility, and at least two other employees. The investigation is ongoing, and details continue to come to light. It is also unclear whether this culture of misconduct is limited to the one VA facility in Tennessee or extends to other hospitals and facilities nationwide.
