According to authorities, the family is identified as 40-year-old Mara Lee Wise, 45-year-old Josh Wise, 14-year-old Kritee Wise, 12-year-old Jaimeson “Casey” Wise, and 4-year-old Ryu Wise. They were found “unresponsive” inside their home in the 100 block of S. Main Street.

Police began investigating after a “concerned citizen” called 911 to report a possible death. When officers arrived, they found the bodies of the five family members inside the house. It is unclear at this time how the family members died.

Frank Barsi, the Iron County Sheriff, said that the investigation is ongoing, but so far, no signs of foul play or trauma were found on the bodies. Officials do not believe there is an immediate threat to the public, but they have not ruled out anything.

Wisconsin has sent a special team of detectives to assist with the investigation. Family members of the victims are being notified and supported by crisis counselors.

The community is in shock over the sudden and tragic loss of life. The names and photos of the family members have been released, and online tributes are being shared in their honor.
