T’Vondre Sweat Shines with Viral Run Back in Titans-Bengals Game
Tennessee Titans defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat became an internet sensation on Sunday after his impressive run back during a fumble recovery against the Cincinnati Bengals.
In the second quarter, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was hit and fumbled the ball, which was recovered by Sweat. Sweat, who stands at 6-foot-4 and 366 pounds, proceeded to stiff-arm Bengals offensive lineman Alex Cappa as he turned up the field, returning the fumble 30 yards.
Unfortunately, the Titans failed to capitalize on the play as quarterback Will Levis soon turned the ball over on a fumble, which led to a Bengals touchdown and tied the game 14-14.
The play was Sweat’s first fumble recovery in his career, and it left fans and analysts alike praising his athleticism and determination.
Sweat was drafted by the Titans in the second round of the 2024 draft and has played in 14 games this season, recording 38 tackles, one sack, and a pass breakup.
