Tua Tagovailoa returns from injury, but Jaylen Waddle is doubtful for the Dolphins’ game against the 49ers.

Tagovailoa Pops Up on Injured Report as Limited Player, Waddle Misses Practice with Knee Injury

Tua Tagovailoa, the Miami Dolphins’ fifth-year quarterback, has been listed as limited on the injury report prior to the team’s final two games of the NFL season. Coming off an unimpressive loss against the Houston Texans, the Dolphins are looking to gain momentum to keep their season alive.

Tagovailoa has led the NFC in completion percentage with an impressive 73.7%, and has thrown 18 touchdowns and seven picks in 10 starts thus far. The team ranks ninth in the AFC South, with a playoff prediction of just 9 percent if they secure a loss.

On the injury forefront, rookie wide receiver River Waddle suffered a minor knee injury in the losses against the Texans. Unlike Tagovailoa who will attempt to return off a limited practice week on Sunday, Waddle opted for rest throughout the weekly sessions, which left both fans and teammates on higher alert.

In other events, the Dolphins aim high in the last weeks towards preventing the first losing cycle since 2019 before ending their regular season’s run. The Sunday competition is scheduled for a television appearance at 4.25 p.m. during their clash against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
