The Donald Trump Presidential Transition Team has released a schedule of events for the president’s inauguration on January 20, 2025. The four-day schedule includes a variety of official parties, gatherings, and events. The events are expected to raise over $170 million, and the committee is on track to end up with more than $200 million to spend on inaugural events and operations.
The schedule includes a fireworks show at Trump’s golf course outside Washington, D.C., as well as three VIP events at the same location. A celebratory MAGA rally is also planned on the eve of the swearing-in ceremony. Three inaugural balls will be held, a relatively small number compared to recent presidential standards.
Several of Trump’s events will be held at his Virginia golf course, which is a departure from recent inaugurations that were largely held within Washington, D.C. Unlike in 2021, when President Joe Biden held a fireworks show over the National Mall, the fireworks at Trump’s golf course will explode more than 20 miles from Capitol Hill, out of view for much of the general public.
Trump’s inaugural committee has received million-dollar donations from companies, including Amazon and Meta. The committee is reportedly asking top donors to give a minimum of $1 million for the opportunity to get direct face time with the president- or vice president-elect.
