President Trump Signs Executive Orders to Reverse Biden-Era Policies

Ad

President Donald Trump is set to sign multiple executive orders on Monday aimed at reversing Biden-era military policies. The orders, which are part of a flurry of executive actions in Trump’s first week back in the White House, seek to make significant changes across the federal government.

One order will reinstate military personnel who were discharged during the COVID-19 pandemic for refusing to be vaccinated. Those seeking reinstatement will receive full back pay and benefits.

Another order aims to prioritize readiness and lethality in the military by undoing Biden-era gender inclusivity efforts. This will involve revoking a 2021 order that prohibited military discharges based on gender identity, and bar the use of gender-based pronouns in the Defense Department.

The order also prohibits males from using or sharing sleeping, changing, or bathing facilities designated for females.

Furthermore, Trump’s order will end all diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices in the Defense and Homeland Security departments. This will involve directing the Pentagon to review internal instances of “race or sex-based discrimination” related to DEI initiatives, as well as reviewing the curricula of U.S. service academies to ensure they eliminate radical DEI and gender ideologies.
