President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that he had ordered military airstrikes in Somalia, targeting a senior ISIS attack planner and other terrorists who had been hiding in caves. Trump stated that the strikes destroyed the caves where the terrorists were living and did not harm any civilians.
Trump noted that the US military had been targeting the senior ISIS attack planner for years, but that his predecessor, President Joe Biden, and his administration had not acted quickly enough to take out the target. “I did!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The President emphasized the message to ISIS and other terrorist groups, stating, “WE WILL FIND YOU, AND WE WILL KILL YOU!”
