President-elect Trump Met with Prince William at the British Embassy in Paris After Notre Dame Reopening
President-elect Donald Trump and Prince William met at the British Embassy in Paris on Saturday, following their joint attendance at the reopening ceremony of Notre Dame Cathedral. The two leaders shook hands at the Notre Dame ceremony and later held a meeting at the embassy to discuss the “special relationship” between the UK and the US.
Trump and Prince William were among the world leaders present at the Notre Dame event, which also included French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Prince William represented the UK at the event in place of Prince Charles.
After the ceremony, the pair reconvened at the British Embassy, where Trump and Prince William discussed various topics, including their relationship and the shared interests of the two countries. Trump and Prince William previously met in 2019, during Trump’s state visit to the UK.
Other notable meetings during the events included Trump’s meetings with Macron and Zelenskyy, as well as Prince William’s handshake and conversation with first lady Jill Biden.
