Trump Cites Eminem’s Violent Lyrics in Legal Filing

Donald Trump Alludes To Eminem’s ‘Violent’ Lyrics In Filing

In a recent filing, Donald Trump’s legal team alluded to the lyrics of rapper Eminem, referencing his violent and provocative content in an attempt to discredit the claims made against the former president.

The filing, which was submitted in response to a lawsuit alleging that Trump’s lawyers defamed the writer E. Jean Carroll, quotes a line from Eminem’s 2000 song “The Real Slim Shady.” The line in question reads, “His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy / There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti.”

Trump’s team used this quote to argue that the descriptions of the alleged assault, which involve a hotel room and an unzipped pair of pants, are similar in nature to the lyrics and are therefore not “credible” or “plausible.”

The move has been met with criticism from legal experts, who argue that using Eminem’s lyrics in a legal filing is unprofessional and unfair to the rap icon. “This is a ridiculous and desperate attempt to marginalize the accusations against Trump by associuting them with a popular rap song,” said one legal expert. “It’s not a clever or effective argument, and it’s certainly not in good taste.”
