As the Christmas holiday approaches, both President-elect Trump and President Biden have marked the occasion. Trump, who will be sworn in as president on January 20, took to Truth Social to exclaim “MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!” and shared a photo of himself and his wife Melania with the same message.

In a post on the @POTUS presidential account, Biden wished the nation a merry Christmas, acknowledging that it would be his last time as president to do so. He expressed his hope that the nation would continue to seek the light of liberty and love, kindness and compassion, dignity and decency. Biden also posted a message on his personal account, saying “Merry Christmas, everyone!”

The two presidents’ holiday greetings come as Trump prepares to take office and Biden’s decades-long stint at the top levels of Washington politics comes to an end. Trump’s victory in the November election marked a historic moment, as he became the second president to win election to two non-consecutive terms.
