EXCLUSIVE: House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer Requests Probe of President Biden’s Brother, James Biden
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer is asking President-elect Trump’s Justice Department to investigate and prosecute President Biden’s brother, James Biden, for allegedly making false statements to Congress.
Fox News Digital has obtained a letter that Comer sent to Trump’s nominee for attorney general, Pam Bondi, urging the DOJ to “hold James Biden accountable for lying to Congress to protect his brother, the soon-to-be-former President Biden.”
In the letter, Comer notes that House Republicans sent criminal referrals to the Justice Department in June, recommending that James Biden and Hunter Biden be charged with making false statements to Congress about “key aspects” of the impeachment inquiry of President Biden.
Comer claims that James Biden’s denial of President Biden’s meeting with James Biden, Hunter Biden, and a business associate for a Chinese transaction in 2017 appears to be a “calculated effort to shield Joe Biden from the reality that Joe Biden has indeed met with his family’s business associates.”
Comer also blasts President Biden, saying he obstructed the committee’s impeachment inquiry and that in itself was “impeachable conduct.” He argues that James Biden’s alleged lies to Congress, as well as President Biden’s decision to grant his son Hunter a “full and unconditional pardon,” demonstrate the Biden family’s lack of accountability.
The House Oversight Committee’s impeachment inquiry, led by Comer and other House Republicans, found that President Biden engaged in “impeachable conduct,” “abused his office,” and “defrauded the United States to enrich his family.”
Comer’s letter also references a recent report by Special Counsel David Weiss, which accused Hunter Biden of having “unfairly” maligned Justice Department public servants and casting doubt on the U.S. justice system with “wrong” claims that his probe was political.
