Trinity Rodman opens up about her “traumatic” childhood with her father, former NBA star Dennis Rodman, calling him “extremely selfish”.

American soccer star Trinity Rodman spoke out against her father, former NBA champion Dennis Rodman, during an interview on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.

Rodman, who plays for the Washington Spirit of the National Women’s Soccer League, reflected on the strained relationship she has with her father, despite his efforts to maintain a close public image. She described it as “frustrating” to be constantly asked about her father during interviews, citing the “trauma” she’s experienced due to him.

Rodman admitted that she finds it hard to talk about her father in a negative light, saying she’s often been in a place where she tries to make it clear she doesn’t know him. She’s also frustrated with herself for showing sympathy towards her father, who she believes is “extremely selfish” and always tries to bring his children into the spotlight.

The 21-year-old said she doesn’t have her father’s number saved in her phone and they often go months without speaking. Even when they do communicate, her father will often call her drunk, and the sound of his voice is “painful” for her.

Rodman also claimed that her father has tried to reach out to her from a different phone number in Texas, leaving her a 40-second voicemail that she refused to listen to. She expressed her frustration with her father’s actions and the way he chooses to expose his children to the public.
