Travis Kelce weighs in on potential retirement after sharing Taylor Swift’s thoughts.

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce appeared to be entering the twilight of his career this season, with his production numbers taking a decline in his 12th season in the NFL. Despite his age, 35, Kelce was healthy for the entire season, missing only one game in the final week of the season. As rumors of his potential retirement swirled, Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, was asked if she thought he should hang up his cleats. According to Kelce, Swift is “fully encouraging” him to continue playing, saying she loves attending games at Arrowhead Stadium and wants him to “enjoy playing this game.”

Kelce, a 10-time Pro Bowl selection, expressed his gratitude for Swift’s support, stating, “She’s got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.” While he has considered retirement, Kelce’s mind is constantly changing and he has yet to make a definitive decision. As the most successful tight end in Kansas City Chiefs history, surpassing Tony Gonzalez’s franchise records, Kelce has accumulated 1,004 receptions for 12,151 yards and 77 touchdowns throughout his career. The team is seeking a fourth Super Bowl title, which would be the first three-peat in the Super Bowl era.
