“Kelce Brothers Blast ‘Love Actually’ as a Non-Christmas Movie”
Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has weighed in on the long-debated topic of whether the 2003 film “Love Actually” is a Christmas movie. The film, which follows different couples in the weeks leading up to Christmas in London, is officially labeled as a holiday movie. However, a popular Reddit thread and Travis Kelce’s own opinion disagree.
During an episode of his podcast, Kelce revealed that he “enjoyed” the movie, but “didn’t feel ‘Christmas’ at all during the movie.” His brother Jason echoed his sentiments, stating there was “zero Christmas spirit or anything resembling that” in the film. In fact, Jason took it a step further, saying “Love Actually” might be the worst Christmas movie he’s ever seen.
The brothers also expressed similar views on “Die Hard”, a film often debated as to whether it should be considered a Christmas movie or not.
The couple’s opinions have sparked controversy, with some taking to social media to weigh in on the debate. Interestingly, Travis Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift had previously raved about the film in 2014, stating, “If you look around, love actually is all around.”
Meanwhile, Jason’s wife Kylie defended the movie, revealing it’s “one of [her] favorite movies, period”. The opposing opinions within the Kelce household suggest heated discussions will be taking place during the holiday season.
