Former College Football Star Tim Tebow Posts Emotional Message to Twitter About California Wildfires
Tim Tebow, a former college football star, took to Twitter to express his concern and sympathy for those affected by the wildfires in California. In his message, he stated that he had been watching the news with a heavy heart and couldn’t think of anything else to do but pray.
Tebow wrote a heartfelt prayer, asking the Lord to bring rain to California, protect the first responders, comfort those who have lost loved ones, homes, or businesses, and bring hope to those who need it. He also reminded everyone that God is always with them, no matter the situation.
The wildfires have had a significant impact on the sports world, with two games scheduled at Crypto.com Arena being postponed, and Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick losing his house after evacuating. The NFL has also issued a contingency plan for Monday night’s Vikings-Rams playoff game, which may need to be moved to a different location.
In addition to Tebow’s message, President Biden met with California Governor Gavin Newsom to discuss the situation, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has also offered his state’s help. The Los Angeles Times reports that it has not rained more than one-tenth of an inch in the city since May 5.
The fires have resulted in five reported deaths, and have also burned down a clubhouse at a local golf course. Governor Newsom has deployed the National Guard to help fight the fires, and nearly 100 schools in the Los Angeles area have been closed due to the smoke and air quality concerns.
