Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis Unveils Charger Daytona SRT Concept, Returns to Lead Ram Truck Brand

DETROIT — In a surprising turn of events, Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis will be rejoining Stellantis, effective immediately. The deal, which was unveiled to employees on Monday, will see Kuniskis return to lead the company’s Ram Truck brand. The news comes just one week after Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares unexpectedly stepped down from his role.

Kuniskis’ return marks a triumphant return to the automaker he previously led for over a decade. During his tenure, he was responsible for reestablishing Dodge as a prominent American muscle car brand, with vehicles such as the Challenger and Charger Hellcat models, as well as the Challenger Demon drag race cars. He is often referred to as the “father” of the Hellcat models and the “unofficial spokesman” for American muscle cars.
