Tiger Woods Speaks Out on Wildfires in His Hometown Los Angeles

Tiger Woods has finally spoken out on the devastating wildfires that are currently sweeping through his hometown of Los Angeles, releasing a heartfelt statement on social media.

“It’s such a tragedy and it hits home for me being from California,” said Woods. “My heart is with those who have suffered unimaginable loss. Thank you to the incredible heroes that are the first responders helping to contain and save the community of Los Angeles.”

Woods also announced plans to release details on his own charitable efforts to support the affected communities in the coming weeks.

“We plan to provide an update on our own charitable efforts to help these communities in the coming weeks. Stay strong LA!” said Woods.

The 15-time major winner has been understandably silent on the issue until Tuesday, as many residents in his native Southern California have been evacuated from their homes due to the destructive wildfires.
