The terrifying tale of The Lou Ferrigno horror film: a cast, story, and all the details you need to know.

The Hermit: Lou Ferrigno Stars in Upcoming Horror Film

Lou Ferrigno, best known for his portrayal of the Incredible Hulk, is set to star in the upcoming horror film, The Hermit. The movie follows two self-absorbed teens, Lisa and Eric, who venture off trail and stumble upon a farm, only to find themselves fighting for their lives against an unstoppable cannibal pig farmer.

The Hermit was officially confirmed in May 2024, with production taking place in Syracuse, New York, before moving to Los Angeles. The film is directed by Salvatore Sclafani and stars Lou Ferrigno as the titular villain, alongside Malina Weissman and Anthony Turpel as Lisa and Eric.

The main cast also includes Carlease Burke, James Quattrochi, Marilyn Busch, Christopher Collins, Bruce Faulk, Brian Robert Carr, and Isabelle McCalla in unnamed roles. The film’s synopsis promises a significant amount of dark comedy, with the self-absorbed characteristics of the teens being a point of humor.

However, production for The Hermit was not without its challenges. Filming was halted in August 2022 due to an actor injury, crew members walking off the set after a pay dispute, and a robbery that saw $24,000 worth of equipment stolen. The production eventually departed from Syracuse in January 2023 and wrapped filming in Los Angeles.

The Hermit is currently in post-production, with Scatena & Rosner Films acquiring worldwide rights to the film and planning to launch sales at the Cannes Marché du Film. With its unique blend of horror and dark comedy, The Hermit is sure to be a standout in the genre.
