The Giants’ Saquon Barkley Demolishes Critics in NFC Championship

Saquon Barkley Put Up Ridiculous Numbers in NFC Championship Victory, gets Jabs at Giants

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley put up incredible numbers on Sunday night, leading the Eagles to an NFC Championship win over the Washington Commanders. Barkley finished with 118 rushing yards on 15 carries and scored two touchdowns, both coming in the first quarter, including a 60-yard scamper that got Eagles fans buzzing early.

As the Eagles celebrated their Super Bowl appearance for the second time in three years, NFL fans took to social media to mock the New York Giants for letting Barkley go in the offseason. The Giants re-signed Daniel Jones to a four-year contract before the 2023 season and gave Barkley a one-year deal before letting him walk to free agency in 2024.

Tom Brady, speaking during the FOX broadcast, said, “Giant mistake letting him go.” Barkley has nearly run for the most yards in a single season, but was held out of the Eagles’ final game of the season to rest for the playoffs. He has yet to let up, rushing for 442 yards and five touchdowns in three playoff games so far.

The Eagles will play the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.
