Texas Thanksgiving Shooting Leaves 2 Dead, 2 Wounded
A shooting at a residence in Texas on Thanksgiving Day has left two people dead and two others wounded, according to authorities. The incident occurred at around 11:30 pm local time on November 26, just hours after the start of the holiday.
Law enforcement officials from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene, where they found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were subsequently rushed to local hospitals for emergency treatment, where two were pronounced dead and two others were listed in stable condition.
Witnesses report hearing multiple shots fired and seeing people running from the residence, which is located in the 24000 block of Jasmine Prairie Street in the Clear Creek area. The identities of the victims and the shooter have not been released, pending notification of their families.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No motive has been established at this time, and it is unclear whether the shooting was an isolated incident or part of a larger conflict.
Neighbors described the area as typically quiet, with few signs of trouble in the past. “We heard shots fired, but it’s usually just a normal shooting range nearby,” said one resident. “We never expected this to happen so close to home.”
The community is mourning the loss of life, with many offering support to the families of the victims. As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to help provide closure and justice for all parties involved.
