Texas Governor Greg Abbott Accuses Migrant of Setting House Ablaze with Children Inside

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has spoken out against Pedro Luis Parra Pulgar, a 46-year-old migrant who allegedly tried to kill his three children in a house fire in Fulshear, Texas. Pulgar was charged with three counts of attempted murder and is currently being held in the Fort Bend County Jail with a bond set at $2.25 million.

Abbott, a Republican, took to social media to express his outrage over the incident, calling for Pulgar to “spend the rest of his life” in jail. He also pledged to work with the incoming Trump administration to deport criminal migrants, stating that he will “work with Tom Homan to locate & deport as many of these criminals as we can.”

It is unclear whether Pulgar immigrated to the US legally, as his legal status is currently unknown. Despite this, Abbott emphasized the need for tougher measures to address the issue of illegal immigration, saying that he will work to “locate & deport as many of these criminals as we can.”

The incident is only the latest in a string of high-profile cases involving illegal immigrants and violent crimes. Abbott’s comments come as current US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials have been working to identify and detain thousands of migrants with criminal records in an effort to prioritize public safety.

The incident is also a stark reminder of the potential risks and consequences associated with illegal immigration. Despite this, many have expressed support for Abbott’s stance, citing the need for stricter border control measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
