Texans OLB Azeez Al-Shaair suspended three games for hit on Trevor Lawrence.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence Concussed After Hit by Texans LB Jonathan Al-Shaair

Trevor Lawrence’s game came to an abrupt end on Sunday after Houston Texans linebacker Jonathan Al-Shaair delivered a hit that left the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback concussed. Lawrence was hit while scrambling to the ground, and as he was getting up, Al-Shaair approached him and delivered a forearm blow that sent Lawrence tumbling back to the turf.

The play sparked a skirmish between the teams, with Al-Shaair and Jaguars cornerback Jarrian Jones being ejected for their roles in the brawl. Lawrence was eventually carted off the field, and his status for future games remains uncertain.

Al-Shaair, 27, has a history of questionable play, dating back to his time with the San Francisco 49ers. He has also been involved in incidents including grabbing Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady by the throat, punching Chicago Bears running back Roschon Johnson, and hitting Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard late in a game.

As a result of the latest incident, Al-Shaair will be sidelined for three games, including the Texans’ upcoming showdown with the Miami Dolphins and road games against the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens.
