Texans’ Calen Bullock Reflects on Terrifying Hit That Left Dolphins’ Grant DuBose Hospitalized

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Grant DuBose suffered a serious injury on Sunday after being hit by Houston Texans safety Calen Bullock during their game at NRG Stadium. Bullock delivered a hard tackle that sent DuBose crashing to the ground, leaving him lying motionless for several minutes. Medical personnel rushed onto the field to attend to DuBose, who was eventually placed on a stretcher and carried off the field.

Bullock claimed that his intention was never to hurt anyone and was simply playing for the ball. He stated that he would not have changed the play if given the opportunity.

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who has experienced several concussions in his career, expressed his condolences and understanding of the situation, acknowledging that it’s a physical sport and injuries are a risk.

This was the second consecutive game in which an opposing player was injured by a questionable hit for the Texans. Last week, Houston linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair was suspended for three games for hitting Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

DuBose was taken to the hospital, where he spent the remainder of the night.
