Tesla to hike prices of all Canadian vehicles, website indicates.

Tesla to Raise Prices of All Cars in Canada Starting Feb. 1

Tesla will increase the prices of all its cars in Canada starting February 1, according to notices on its Canadian website. The price hikes will range from C$4,000 to C$9,000, depending on the model.

The company will raise the price of its Model 3 by as much as C$9,000, while the price of its Model Y variants will increase by up to C$4,000. Meanwhile, all versions of its Model S and X will see a price rise by C$4,000.

Tesla did not provide a reason for the price increase, and it was unclear how many cars the company imports from its factories in China and the United States to supply the Canadian market.

The move comes as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau reiterated that his government is ready to respond if U.S. President Donald Trump imposes 25% tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico on February 1. Canada currently imposes a 100% tariff on imports of electric vehicles from China, including Tesla cars manufactured in Shanghai.
