A 19-year-old man, Jaylen Mosley, is facing multiple charges including murder, aggravated assault, and armed robbery after allegedly shooting and killing a 70-year-old man in a carjacking incident in Atlanta, Georgia.
According to reports, the victim was found in the commercial area of the 2100 block of Metropolitan Parkway at 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, and was rushed to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Mosley, who has an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Harris County, Texas, is accused of attempting to steal the elderly man’s car on Saturday night. He was arrested shortly after the alleged attack.
In addition to the murder charge, Mosley is also facing charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, armed robbery, and high-jacking a motor vehicle. He is currently being held in custody at the Fulton County Jail.
