Tech industry leaders prepare to celebrate Trump’s presidency and their own success.

A Euphoric Tech Industry Is Ready to Celebrate Trump and Itself

As President-elect Donald J. Trump’s inauguration approaches, the tech industry is set to revel in its clout, hosting some of the most coveted parties during his inaugural weekend. A network of wealthy donors from Silicon Valley, many of whom have embraced Trump, will be the stars of the show.

The tech industry’s massive fundraising efforts have made it a crucial player in the week’s festivities, with companies like Amazon, Google, and Ripple, as well as cryptocurrency upstarts, donating $1 million or more to Trump’s inaugural committee. In exchange, donors have been given tickets to exclusive events, including intimate dinners with Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance, as well as VIP access to the swearing-in ceremony on Monday.

Some of the most in-demand parties are being hosted by high-profile figures like entrepreneur Peter Thiel, who will be hosting a black-tie party at his Washington home, and the co-hosts of the popular tech podcast “All-In.” Other tech companies, including Spotify and Uber, are also hosting events, such as a brunch featuring Joe Rogan, Megyn Kelly, and Ben Shapiro.

In addition, influential donors like the American Opportunity Alliance and the Rockbridge Network are hosting events, showcasing the power of Silicon Valley in the highest echelons of the Trump administration. The American Action Network, a main funder of House Republicans, is hosting a big Sunday event for members of Congress and its donors at the Library of Congress.

The festivities will culminate with the President-elect’s second Inaugural Address, during which, according to reports, social clubs like Ned’s Club, a venue modeled after New York’s Soho House, will be hosting viewing parties with donors affiliated with the Rockbridge Network. The event is expected to draw Silicon Valley’s power players, including Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, and other prominent tech executives.
