Fox Business host Larry Kudlow endorsed President Trump’s tariffs plan, stating that the “one-off price increases” will be “temporary” and are part of a larger economic plan to boost the country’s economy. Kudlow, who served as an economic advisor in Trump’s first administration, argued that the tariffs will be offset by other economic measures such as cutting taxes, deregulation, and shrinking the government.
According to Kudlow, Trump’s entire economic program is “counter-inflationary” and “pro-growth,” and the tariffs are just one part of it. He emphasized that the administration is taking a hardline stance on national security issues, including border security and preventing the flow of fentanyl and drugs across the border.
When asked if there was a possibility of an 11th-hour deal with Mexico and Canada, Kudlow replied that he didn’t have any information and was sticking to President Trump’s stance on national security grounds.
