Commanders Get Back on Track with Dominant Victory Over Titans
The Washington Commanders got back on track in a big way, dominating the Tennessee Titans 40-17 in their Week 13 matchup. The Commanders offense looked unstoppable at times, jumping out to a 28-0 lead after just 20 minutes and never looking back.
Running back Brian Robinson led the way, rushing for 103 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. He was complemented by Chris Rodriguez Jr., who added 94 yards and a touchdown on 13 attempts, and Jayden Daniels, who chipped in with 34 yards and a rushing score on nine runs. The trio’s efforts gave the Commanders a total of 263 rushing yards, a dominant performance that controlled the game and allowed the passing game to flourish as well.
Quarterback Jayden Daniels was 25 of 30 for 206 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception, looking more like his hot-streak self from earlier in the season. He and receiver Terry McLaurin connected on a couple of excellent touchdown passes, and the Commanders’ offense looked like it was back on track after a tough stretch.
The Titans, meanwhile, struggled mightily in the first half, committing two turnovers, including a fumble on a kick return, and being penalized for two false starts. They were unable to find any rhythm until a nine-play, 64-yard drive in the second quarter, but it was too little, too late.
The win gives the Commanders a much-needed boost after a three-game losing streak, and sets them up well for a strong finish to the season. As they enter their bye week, they’ll look to maintain their momentum and make a push for a playoff spot.
