Pittsburgh Steelers Eliminated from Playoffs in Loss to Ravens, 28-14

The Pittsburgh Steelers came up short in the playoffs, falling to the Baltimore Ravens 28-14 in a wild-card game on Saturday night. Despite a late surge, the Steelers were unable to generate enough offense to overcome a strong Ravens team.

The Ravens outgained the Steelers 464-280, with both teams having nine drives in the game. Steelers wide receiver George Pickens, who has been vocal about the team’s recent performances, noted some signs of growth, but remained pessimistic about the future.

Head coach Mike Tomlin put the blame on himself, citing the team’s disappointing playoff performance. The loss marked the sixth straight postseason defeat for the Steelers.

Pickens, who led the team with five catches for 87 yards and a touchdown, was less optimistic about the team’s chances going forward. Tomlin called the loss a “disappointing end” and vowed to assess what went wrong in the coming days.
