Snoop Dogg performs Bob Marley’s “Jamming” at the Trump inauguration.

Snoop Dogg Praises Donald Trump at Pre-Inauguration Event

Rapper Snoop Dogg has shifted his stance on President-elect Donald Trump, praising him and performing at the Crypto Ball, a pre-inauguration event, earlier this month. The “Gin and Juice” rapper took the stage, getting the crowd dancing to hits from various artists, including Journey, Bob Marley, and himself. The event also featured other high-profile guests like rapper Rick Ross and UFC star Colby Covington.

Snoop’s appearance is a change from his past criticism of Trump, having called him a “clown” and depicting him as one in a 2017 music video. He also made fun of Trump during a 2011 roast. However, in 2020, Snoop stated he would vote against Trump’s re-election, citing his own criminal record, which he believed prevented him from voting.

After a long history of criticizing Trump and his supporters, Snoop Dogg recently praised the President-elect, saying, “I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump.” The change of heart came after Trump pardoned Michael “Harry-O” Harris, an associate of Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight, in 2021. Snoop was signed to the label early in his career but left and later acquired the label in 2022. Harris had spent over three decades in prison on charges of conspiracy and attempted murder.

President-elect Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on January 20.
