Chris Brown Sues Warner Bros For $500M Over Rape Claims
R&B singer Chris Brown is suing Warner Bros Records for $500 million, claiming that the company failed to protect him from false rape allegations made by a woman in 2017. Brown alleges that the company has been trying to destroy his career and reputation ever since the allegations surfaced.
The lawsuit, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, accuses Warner Bros Records of breach of contract, fraud, and defamation. Brown claims that the company has been spreading false information about him and has refused to promote his music, resulting in significant financial losses.
Brown’s lawsuit also claims that the company has been trying to force him to take a leave of absence from his music career, which has caused him to lose millions of dollars in earnings. He is seeking $500 million in damages from Warner Bros Records.
This is not the first time that Brown has been involved in a legal dispute with a record label. In 2019, he sued his former record label, RCA Records, for allegedly failing to pay him royalties and bonuses. The lawsuit was settled out of court.
It is unclear at this time whether Brown’s lawsuit against Warner Bros Records will be successful. However, the singer is clearly determined to take action against the company, which he believes has wronged him.
