The Minnesota Vikings Honored Randy Moss on Monday Night Football
Prior to the game, former Vikings teammates Cris Carter and Jake Reed walked to the center of the field, carrying the jersey of Randy Moss, a fellow Hall of Famer and legendary wide receiver. This poignant tribute was led by the Minnesota team captains, a gesture of love and respect for Moss, who means the world to the organization.
“We talked internally this week about what we could do to show our support, our love for Randy,” said Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell. “Everybody knows, former teammate of mine, but most importantly, you can feel the love for him in this building tonight.”
The tribute was a great moment, according to O’Connell, who played alongside Moss on the New England Patriots. “I know Justin had one when he scored his touchdown, don’t know exactly what he said, but I know it was showing his love for Randy.”
The gesture was well-received, as Moss himself replied to the video of his tribute on social media with “LUV U ALL! #letsmosscancer”. The outpouring of love and respect for Moss is a testament to his enduring legacy and the impact he has had on the NFL.
