Nicole Shanahan, former presidential running mate of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has taken aim at multiple U.S. Senators, vowing to fund primary challenges against them if they oppose confirming Kennedy to serve as secretary of Health and Human Services. In a post on X, Shanahan warned Senators Bobby May play nice, I won’t.
Specifically, Shanahan called out Senators Chuck Schumer, Raphael Warnock, and John Ossoff, whom she previously contributed to in her efforts to help Democrats flip Senate seats in Georgia in 2020. Shanahan bluntly warned the senators that she would make it her personal mission to help them lose their seats in the Senate if they vote against the future health of America’s children.
In a video message, Shanahan went on to target Senators Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, Bill Cassidy, Thom Tillis, James Lankford, Cory Booker, John Fetterman, Bernie Sanders, and Catherine Cortez Masto. While Bobby May play nice, I won’t, she said, vowing to personally fund challengers to primary each senator if they vote against Kennedy.
Shanahan concluded by encouraging viewers to contact their senators in support of Kennedy’s nomination and threatening to join hundreds of thousands of others to take action. Kennedy, an independent presidential candidate who dropped out of the race and endorsed Donald Trump, still needs to clear the confirmation hurdle in the Senate.
