SENATOR MITCH McCONNELL SUFERS ANOTHER HEALTH EMERGENCY
Senatorial leader Mitch McConnell suffered a fall and minor cut to the face, along with a sprained wrist, after tripping at a GOP luncheon. Medics were called and he was later cleared to resume his schedule. Despite the incident, McConnell has not given up his press conference, which was taken over by Senate Majority Leader-Elect John Thune.
This is the latest in a series of health emergencies that have left McConnell’s supporters worried about his well-being. In recent months, McConnell has had a concussion and cracked rib after a fall at a dinner, and has been spotted with bruises on his hands.
Despite his latest health issue, McConnell remains committed to serving as Kentucky senator until his term expires in February 2027.
