Buckingham Palace has unveiled the official 2024 Christmas card featuring King Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla. The portrait was taken by highly respected photographer Millie Pilkington in the garden of Buckingham Palace in April. The image captures King Charles, 76, and Queen Camilla, 77, standing together, with Charles dressed in a gray suit and blue tie and Camilla in a blue wool crepe ensemble by luxury designer Fiona Clare.
The message inside the card reads: “Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year.” This year’s card is more casual than last year’s, which was taken in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace following the King’s coronation. The royal family traditionally releases a seasonal card to family, friends, and colleagues.
Meanwhile, Prince and Princess of Wales William and Catherine have been busy with their royal duties. William traveled to France to attend the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral, where he met with US first lady Jill Biden and President-elect Donald Trump. Catherine hosted her annual Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey, which featured performances from various musicians and actors, as well as readings from notable figures such as Prince William, Olympic champion Adam Peaty, and actors Sophie Okonedo, Michelle Dockery, and Richard E. Grant.
