Section 31’s Kacey Rohl and Omari Hardwick Discuss Honoring Legacy and Finding Chemistry in Their Roles.

Omari Hardwick and Kacey Rohl Join the Star Trek Universe in Section 31

Omari Hardwick and Kacey Rohl have joined the Star Trek universe in the new Paramount+ series, Star Trek: Section 31. Hardwick plays Alok, an agent of Section 31, who works with Michelle Yeoh’s Philippa Georgiou on a covert mission. Rohl stars as Rachel Garrett, a character who will go on to become the captain of the USS Enterprise-C.

Hardwick is no stranger to action-packed productions, having appeared in films like Kick-Ass and leading the crime drama series Power for six seasons. Rohl is a veteran television actress, known for her recurring roles in Hannibal and Arrow.

In an interview with ScreenRant, Rohl discussed how her performance as Rachel Garrett was informed by Tricia O’Neil’s version of the character, who debuted in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Rohl’s Garrett predates O’Neil’s version, making her a unique take on the character.

Hardwick also spoke about developing his dynamic with Yeoh behind the scenes, saying that it was a pleasure to work with her. Yeoh’s character, Philippa Georgiou, was first introduced in Star Trek: Discovery Season 1 and is now facing her past sins and working with Starfleet’s secret division, Section 31.

Star Trek: Section 31 is now available to stream on Paramount+.
