Scarring and hazy memories: New victims of real-estate brothers come forward
New revelations have emerged in the investigation into the real-estate brothers, with several women coming forward to share their harrowing experiences of sexual exploitation and abuse.
One victim, who wished to remain anonymous, detailed how she was repeatedly abused and manipulated by the brothers over a period of several years. “I feel like I’ve been living in a haze,” she said, struggling to recount the traumatic events. “It’s like I’ve been stuck in a dream, and I can’t wake up.”
Another victim, who has since changed her name to protect her identity, spoke of being groomed and exploited by the brothers from a young age. “I thought they were my friends, but they were just using me for their own gratification,” she said, tears streaming down her face. “I feel so dirty and ashamed, like I’m the one who’s to blame.”
Despite the trauma and distress they’ve endured, the new victims are finding strength and support in sharing their stories and seeking justice. “It’s like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders,” said one of the victims. “I finally feel like I’m taking back control of my life.”
As the investigation continues, authorities are urging any other potential victims to come forward and share their stories. “We will not rest until we have brought these perpetrators to justice and ensured that they can never harm anyone else again,” said a spokesperson.
In the meantime, mental health professionals are working tirelessly to support the victims, providing them with counseling and therapy to help them process their traumatic experiences. “We’re seeing a lot of scarring and damage, but we’re also seeing a lot of resilience and strength,” said one therapist. “These women are incredibly brave, and they deserve our support and respect.”
