Saquon Barkley plans to consult LeSean McCoy on snow-affected game day.

Having played in the northeast and with college experience at Penn State, NFL running back Miles Sanders is no stranger to snow. However, as the ninth member of the 2,000-yard rushing club, he knows that every bit of intel is valuable, especially when facing a team on the line for the NFC Championship game.

In their last meeting, Sanders ran for 255 yards, breaking a single-game franchise record, and set an Eagles record for yards from scrimmage with 302. The Rams had never allowed a player to rush for that many yards. However, the past two months have seen a significant transformation in the Rams’ defense, which has not lost a game with their starters and has only allowed 12.6 points and 96.6 rushing yards per game without giving up a rushing touchdown.

Sanders acknowledges the Rams’ improvement and that it will be a challenge. “They’re a way better team than they were on defense… they’re playing great football on that side right now,” he said. “We know it’s going to be a challenge. When you rush for over 300 yards against a team, they’re going to have some type of game plan to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”

Despite the Rams’ improvement, Sanders is confident his Eagles can come out on top once again. “I don’t really buy into the weather thing. Whoever comes out there and executes is going to be the team that’s going to win. That’s my mindset. I trust in the system that we have and I trust in the game plan that we have. … Whether it’s five degrees or 90, just got to go out there and execute and we’re going to be alright.”
