Taysom Hill’s Season Ends with Knee Injury
New Orleans Saints tight end/quarterback/running back Taysom Hill may have suffered a season-ending knee injury during Sunday’s 21-14 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Hill was carted off the field and is expected to undergo a follow-up MRI to determine the severity of the injury. According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, the injury is believed to be significant.
Hill, 34, has had a remarkable season despite missing four games due to chest and ribs injuries. He has accumulated 34 carries for 278 yards and six touchdowns, along with 23 receptions for 187 yards. With 278 rushing yards, Hill is now the third most by any tight end in a season in NFL history.
Hill had a breakout game in Week 11 against the Cleveland Browns, becoming only the second player since 1950 to turn in 130-plus rushing yards, three or more rushing TDs, and eight or more receptions. Despite his significant contributions to the Saints’ wins, it appears as though Hill’s season is coming to an end due to the knee injury.
