The New York Jets have recently hired Aaron Glenn as their head coach and Darren Mougey as their general manager, leaving quarterback Aaron Rodgers as the next key decision to be made. Rodgers, who has stated that his decision to return to the team will depend on the new leadership, has been in conversation with the new coach and general manager.

Rodgers, who played two seasons with the Jets, had a rough 2024 season, torn his Achilles four plays into his first season and then struggled throughout the year, resulting in a 5-12 record and the firings of head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas. Despite this, Rodgers had a strong 2024 season, playing in every game and recording 3,897 passing yards and 28 touchdown passes.

However, his return to the team may depend on the Jets’ wide receiving corps, which may be in flux with Davante Adams teasing a potential departure in 2025 and Garrett Wilson hinting that he would like to be traded. The Jets will have a number of decisions to make in the coming weeks to determine the makeup of their roster for the upcoming season.
