Rob Gronkowski says Patrick Mahomes can surpass Tom Brady as the NFL’s GOAT

Patrick Mahomes is on the Fast Track to Surpassing Tom Brady as the NFL’s Greatest Ever

A win in this year’s Super Bowl would make Mahomes the first player to win four rings before turning 30. Comparing their first seven full seasons, Mahomes’ numbers trump Brady’s. However, Brady won more than half of his rings after turning 37, cementing his place in the conversation.

Rob Gronkowski, who won four titles with Tom Brady, believes it will be tough for Mahomes to dethrone him, referencing Brady’s two playoff wins over Mahomes. “In order for Patrick Mahomes to dethrone (Brady), it’s gonna be tough because Tom beat him twice in playoff football. We absolutely demolished Patrick Mahomes,” Gronkowski said.

Gronk noted that Mahomes doesn’t need to match Brady in titles to be considered the greatest, estimating he needs to win five or six championships to surpass Brady. Victor Cruz, who has Mahomes as the “No. 2” to Brady, agrees, stating that Mahomes will need to win five championships and keep his team relevant year in and year out to claim the top spot.

The Kansas City Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, with Mahomes seeking to become the first player to win three consecutive titles in the Super Bowl era. A win would ignite intense debate over whether he has surpassed Brady as the NFL’s greatest ever.
