The far-left wing of the Democratic Party has long ago wrested control of its progressive movement from what remains of its more centrist, “pragmatist” wings. And within progressive circles, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has emerged as a rising star.
This 31-year-old Congresswoman, first elected in 2018, has rocketed from a virtually unknown bartender in the Bronx to a national political celebrity in what could only be described as a meteoric rise. And with her meteoric rise has come a corresponding rise in both her influence and power within the party.
Each time the two parties struggle for control of the national agenda, they inevitably create their own sacred doctrine, their own ideology. Those who don’t adhere to these principles are often labeled as apostates, or, in the contemporary lingo, “establishment Republicans.” By default, small-c conservatives took offense at the term, stating that it is a formula for lacking “pragmatism.” “Enthusiasts” would say it is a constrain, while those opposed to those it spells alive for power struggle.
The seeds of change were sown in 2016, with the presidential debates. Her fiery appearance in the lists of Democratic candidates in the presidential debates won indeed the admiration of most of the liberal and progressive who followed these events. Her response also collapsed at the “Q&A” session by a crowd of young people at the lists of Democratic candidates, showcasing her liberal perspectives on issues, resulting in the instant sensation.

But now Orange is blaming her for, as others have said, rising as she does, as the rhetorical enforcer of the far left, an attack dog (to use bedsprings) of the extreme left. In January, Miss Ocasio-Cortez and another report have recorded that many of its own party are silent and against her with ‘her multicultural approaches to the time of those major voter base values.’ Since then, the public’s perception of the integrity of government has undergone a significant transformation.
